Work in progress

This is printing on fabric…it’s called breakdown printing or deconstruction printing. I am having so much fun working with it. When I’m printing/ painting work l it feels like I’m flying. I just started using the paste in a little plastic bottle with a point. I started at one corner and just went around the whole piece almost like hieroglyphics or stream of consciousness in one setting. Any one else experience this while working?

Need for rules

So why does it take rules?

Making handmade scarves in my studio like a little pixie. There where hours spent in creating this stunning piece. Layers upon layers of colors added just so.

Only to take it to the next step and rinse it. Whoops e I forgot to fix the colors first. What is it called again?

Mordant a chemical used to set the color. In this case you can use steam or heat. But first please don’t rinse the fabric before setting color as you will rinse out all your work.

Lesson learned!

Mom bookkeeper

#mom # decided #painting I will paint, print, sew, photograph, make paper books and envelopes and generally create the next four months. Giving myself the luxury of spending time creating thinking and producing wonder. Filling my space with creative products. Saying NO to anything that takes me away from this time and space. To train to practice saying YES to me and what fills me. To work on controlling my thoughts to only focus on remembering God is always with me to not worry about it but push my thoughts back towards I am divine and in this moment everything is fine. I am fine I do not have to grasp or yearn for a thing. Just relax and create and when my mind wanders to bring it back to this point.

Morning

Standing in anticipation of the moment. Gazing upon their presence and hearing them say I do. It was sweet and real in that moment. Sometimes life is full of joy and beautiful things. We were departing but we will come together again. Liking to use dreams, visions, things I can touch, things that touch me in my art. The questions now are how. Do I make a giant birthday cake, fortune cookie or big black bug? As the artist I get to decide.
