Graduate of Ohio University with a BFA majoring in photography, I learned the zone system. Then I attended and received a M.Ed in art education from the University of Central Florida. I stumbled upon Paper Circle in Nelsonville, Ohio around 2017. There I learned how to become an art administrator and Hand Papermaker under the direction of Master Papermaker Sara Gilfert. I decided to embrace the beauty of living and working in Appalachia. I dabble as papermaker, painter, photographer, textile artist, blogger, educator, book artists and multi media artist. I stopped hoping and started doing, with a fierce song in my determined heart. Pace yourself. Doggedly master the art of slow incremental magic and never hurry. Science and art saved my life.
